RF – Right out to the fall area and straight to his bird!

MR – On a nice line and turned right when he saw the flyer guns where he had just been - was handled to this bird.

LR – Swam and kept looking back over his shoulder - got out on the far shore - tentative but smoked the mark!

RF – Had an area hunt - but she got it

MR – Nice line across the pond - turned right when she got out instead of left and it put her away from the bird and she kept going - she was handled back to this bird

LR – Great line swimming across the pond - turned right and went to the tree line - turned back left and moved down to the bird.

Sarah and Mugs came to the line at 2:04 pm

RF – Into the right corner he crossed the pond the pond  - then out across the field towards the bird - and straight to it!

MR – Went out a little wide right but worked his way back left to the bird - which was almost on shore as it was a slightly shorter throw

LR – Nice line as he moved across the pond (passage ways are starting to form through the lily pads) On the far shore he started a hunt early - back and forth closer to the bank - way short of the tree line bird - he had to be handled to this bird.



Handle 96. FC-AFC RMR’S WON’T BE STUMPED, “Mugs,” BLM, Sarah Love

Sarah and Mugs came to the line at 10:07 am

F – Straight through the water and to the bird

LR – Line took him down the middle, then over to the right to the tree line near the blind and a few loops along the tree line and he got the bird

MR – Headed right of the fall area and was handled with several whistles to this bird

Handle 81. FC-AFC TRUMARC’S WEST POINT, “Army,” BLM, Sylvia McClure

Sylvia and Army came to the line at 9:46 am

F – Through the water - 2 large loops and got her bird

LR – Came in just past the bird - a tight turn and he was on it

MR – Excellent line up the field - missed by just a little on the left! Took the tree line back towards the Left Mark - had to handle to this bird



Handle 61. AFC MUDDY WATERS RUN DEEP, “Muddy,” BLF, Jeffery Talley

Jeff and Muddy came to the line at 9:16 am

F – In to the pond and out to the fall area - a tight hunt and she got it!

LR – Smacked it!

MR – Very wide right going up the field - hunting way outside of the area just deep of the flyer guns - had to be handled back up the field and left to locate the bird

Handle 29. AFC TRUMARC’S MAGNIFICENT FRANCHISE, “Rex,” BLM, Steve Helgoth

Steve and Rex came to the line at 3:57 pm

F – Smack!

LR – Pop and a huge verbal "Back" handled to get more water and on to the bird.

MR – Down the right side of the field moving towards the holding blind - moved around the blind and left to the bird.

Handle 10. FC-AFC JS’S JUMPIN’ JACK FLASH QA2, “Jack,” BLM, Chad Worsell

Chad and Jack came to the line at 10:36 am

LF – Tight turns and he got it

LR – Out under the arc - going deep and was handled back to the holding blind - there was some trouble getting over to the bird but he worked it out

RR – Very nice line to this bird

RF – Into the water - drove the hill left of the gunners - hooked behind - made 1 loop and then drove right and got his bird


Handle Re-Run 98. FC-AFC BD NORTH SHORE’S INSTANT RAIN GEAR QA2, “Poncho,” BLM, Malcolm Haith

Malcolm and Poncho came back to the line at 10:02 am

LF – Out to the fall area and he missed - 3 big loops and then moved left - continued to hunt and he found it!

LR – Missed on the left - went deep and was handled back to this bird

RR – Drove the hill - stayed in front of the guns and stepped on the bird!

RF – Under the arc close to the blind - circled the blind and moved his hunt left and then down the hill and got his bird

Handle 6. BAYOU TECHE COMMERCE COMET, “Mick,” BLM, Alvin Hatcher

Alvin and Mick came to the line at 9:51 am

LF – Good line, took a loop towards the guns, then straight to the fall area and the bird

LR – Wide right behind the blind and kept going - handled immediately, it was difficult to get the dog left, but got him left and to the bird with a few more whistles

RR – Curved in under the arc and to the bird

RF – Good line and a few loops between the gunners and the fall area to get the bird

Handle 2. YOU STOLE MY HEART MAGGIE MAE, “Maggie,” BLF, Kyle Broussard

Kyle and Maggie came to the line at 9:14 am

LF – Good Line to the fall area and the bird

LR – Headed back to the flyer direction - was quickly handled to this bird

RR – Good line and quick retrieve

RF – Under the arc and headed right towards the fall and his bird

Handle 95. FC-AFC MARSHWIND’S TURBULENCE, “Evie,” BLF, Bente Kongsore

Bente and Evie came to the line at 8:24 am

LF – Got just left - a quick turn back right for his pheasant

LR – To the left side of the holding blind and kept going - dog was handled to this bird

RR – Into the water and out to the blind - quickly turned back for her bird

RF – Drove the hill and came in just right of the guns - moved farther right and got her bird



Handle 86. FC-AFC CANDLEWOOD’S TOM TOM, “Drummer,” BLM, Bradley LaFave

Bradley and Drummer came to the line at 7:20 am

LF – Out to the area for a quick turn or 2 and then he had his bird

LR – Under the arc - a quick handle was needed - 2 whistles and he got it

RR – Came in left of the holding blind - got a few steps deep, then turned right and came back down to the area for his duck

RF – Took the water and climbed the hill - stayed in front of the guns and turned right and got it

Handle 80. FC-AFC COSTA’S N. Z. WARRIOR, “Haka,” BLM, Steve Costa

Steve and Haka came to the line at 10:38 am

LF – Good line out and he was back in with his bird quickly

LR – Good line through the arc - but he kept going - a quick handle brought him back to this bird

RF – His line out was wide right - left of the retired bird and he kept going left and up the hill straight to the flyer

RR – Good line and straight to his bird

Handle 79. FC-AFC HOCKLEY CREEK’S SWITCH HITTER, “Mickey,” BLM, Robby Bickley

Robby and Mickey came to the line at 10:28 am

LF – Drilled it!

LR – Wide left of the holding blind - turned left and kept going deep - was handled back to the bird

RR –  Out to the blind - hunted away from the bird - almost got to the flyer then turned back and came back to locate his bird

RF – Nice job on this flyer!

Handle 76. SOUTHWINDZ MIDNIGHT BREES QA2, “Brees,” BLF, Matt Miller

Matt and Brees came to the line at 10:08 am

LF – Out to the area - nice job

LR – Straight in to the bush with her bird

RR – Across the field into the water - drove deep and was handled back to the bird

RF – Very nice line down the field to the bird

Handle 72. FC-AFC YOURS TRULY INDIGO, “Tru,” BLF, Mark Medford

Mark and Tru came to the line at 9:23 am

LF – Straight to the fall area - turned around and got the bird

RR – Line out was left - took one loop left, then directly over to her bird

LR – Line brought her behind the blind and she got an immediate whistle and was handled to this bird

RF – Came in under the arc, 2 short loops and she got her bird



Handle Re-Run 58. AFC RIDGECREST’S IMPIOUS, “Imp,” BLF, Judy Rasmuson

Judy and Imp came back to the line at 8:19 am

LF – Straight to the fall area for a very tight hunt. Nice.

LR – Under the arc - turned back down to the holding blind - back up the hill heading away from the bird - a few quick whistles to handle her back and she got it

RR – Excellent line out - Pinned it!

RF – Very long bird - beautiful line to this duck



Handle 64. FC-AFC HIGH PEAK’S AMERICAN SNIPER, “Kyle,” BLM, Justin Aimone

Justin and Kyle came to the line ...

LF – Out under the arc and arrived a little deep - a large loop and then he got it

LR – Out between the bushes - under the arc - kept going - was stopped and handled back to the bird

RF – Across the field left of the guns - turned right and scooped up the bird on his 2nd pass

RR – Nice line out to the blind - slowed down - turned and came back to the bird


Handle 62. FC-AFC SEASIDES TROUBLESOME FOWL PURSUITS QA2, “Percy,” BLM, John Broucek

John and Percy came to the line at 7:50 am

LF – Good line and a quick retrieve

LR – Line took him behind the blind and he kept going - handler quickly handled with a few whistles to the bird

RR – Good line to the area - turned right and went to the bird

RF – Good job! Lined to the arc and right to the bird
